kakalistiq.com reports that the Chairman of Ikosi-Ejinrin Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Akogun Wale Raji Anomo, has called on Nigerians to continue believing in the country’s potential and future. This appeal was made in a statement commemorating Nigeria’s 64th Independence Day anniversary.
Addressing his fellow citizens, Anomo expressed great joy in celebrating this significant milestone. “It gives me immense pleasure to congratulate and celebrate with the good people of Ikosi-Ejinrin on the 64th anniversary of our nation’s independence,” he said.
Anomo emphasized the historical importance of October 1, noting, “October 1 is the most important day in Nigeria’s history as it marks the end of colonial rule and the beginning of self-governance.” He added that the day is celebrated with unity and enthusiasm as a reminder of the sacrifices made by the nation’s founding heroes.
Reflecting on the nation’s journey, Anomo highlighted the need for national unity and collective effort. “We have come far as a nation. It is essential that all hands remain on deck to ensure Nigeria remains an indivisible country where equity, justice, and fairness prevail,” he remarked.
The Chairman also expressed optimism about Nigeria’s future under the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. “Under the transformational leadership of our indefatigable President, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, our nation is on course to achieve its full potential. The current changes are like a necessary surgery to revive a critically ill patient,” Anomo said.
He urged Nigerians to continue offering prayers, support, and cooperation for the nation’s progress. “We must reject violence, hatred, and division, and instead choose peace, love, unity, and patriotism. We must believe in ourselves, our nation, and God’s divine plan for us,” Anomo encouraged.
Reaffirming his dedication to the Ikosi-Ejinrin LCDA, Anomo stated, “As long as I remain your servant leader, I will work tirelessly to implement policies that advance our economy, ensure affordable education, promote public health, and support our youth.” He assured residents that their concerns would be heard and addressed.
In conclusion, Anomo called for continued collaboration from citizens. “Our efforts alone are not enough. We rely on your support, participation, and patriotism. Together, we can build a brighter future for ourselves and generations to come, upholding the values that unite us as one nation under God,” he said, expressing confidence in Nigeria’s return to greatness.
