Eredo LCDA Unites for Security as Akinloye Leads Synergy Amid Economic Challenges

In a concerted effort to bolster security and community safety, kakalistiq.com reports that Hon. Ismail Monsuru Akinloye, the Executive Chairman of Eredo LCDA, convened a crucial peace and security meeting with key stakeholders at the Eredo LCDA Council Secretariat on July 8, 2024. The session highlighted the critical link between economic hardship and security, emphasizing the need for periodic discussions to address growing threats such as kidnapping and land grabbing.

The meeting drew a diverse group of participants, including traditional and religious leaders, security operatives, and representatives from various community organizations like the NYCN, CCYL, and CDC. Notable traditional leaders present included the Aladepekun of Odo-Egiri Kingdom, Oba Musiliu Abiola Oliwo; the Omola of Odo-Mola, Oba Sulaimon Adeshina Adebowale; the Alade Uraka of Poka, Oba Kolawole Ayodele Aliru; the Adegbaojo of Odo-Gbawojo, Oba Adelani Maruf Adeniyi; and a representative of the Alara of Ilara Kingdom.

In his opening address, Chairman Akinloye underscored the importance of proactive security measures. He praised the security personnel for their recent achievements and assured them of unwavering support from the LCDA administration. “In times of economic hardship, the strain on safety and security increases. We must remain vigilant and proactive to protect our community,” he said during an interview.

“Economic challenges often escalate security issues, making it imperative for us to engage in regular, constructive dialogues to stay ahead of potential threats. Our collaboration with traditional leaders, security agencies, and community stakeholders is vital in ensuring that we create a safe and secure environment for all residents of Eredo LCDA. Together, we can overcome these challenges and build a resilient community,” he added.

HRM Oba Babatunde Olaogun Ogunlaja (JP), the Aladeshoyin of Odo-Noforija Kingdom, also commended Chairman Akinloye’s leadership and urged security officers to remain dedicated to their duties. The security operatives pledged their continued cooperation and commitment to maintaining peace, urging the public to stay vigilant and report any suspicious activities.

The meeting concluded on a high note, with all stakeholders reaffirming their dedication to safeguarding Eredo LCDA. This united front promises a stronger, more secure community, demonstrating that through cooperation and proactive measures, even the most daunting security challenges can be effectively managed.
