Epe-Ogunmodede Club Felicitates Olu-Epe on Kayokayo Festival 2024, Highlights Socioeconomic, Educational Impacts

Kakalistiq.com reports that the leadership of the Epe Ogunmodede Club, a vital indigenous organization in Epe, has extended warm congratulations to the Olu-Epe of Epe Kingdom, HRM Oba Dr. Shefiu Adewale, Bamgbopa Eshilokun I, on the celebration of the 2024 Epe Kayokayo Festival.
Barrister Omodele Ibrahim, President of the club, highlighted the festival’s profound socioeconomic, educational, and developmental impacts on the community and its people over the years.

“The Epe Kayokayo Festival is more than a celebration; it is a catalyst for unity, progress, and cultural preservation. Under the revered leadership of the Olu-Epe, this event has consistently showcased the rich heritage of Epe while driving significant social and economic benefits,” Barrister Ibrahim remarked.

Regrettably, Barrister Ibrahim was unable to attend the festivities due to pressing work commitments. In his absence, he extended his apologies, emphasizing his dedication to the community and his desire to partake in the celebrations. “I deeply regret missing this year’s festivities. My duties at work have kept me away, but my spirit is with the people of Epe. I urge all sons and daughters who have travelled home to celebrate to do so with joy and peace.”

The Epe Ogunmodede Club has played a vital role in the community’s development, particularly during the Kayokayo Festival. Members of the club have been instrumental in various initiatives, including scholarships for students, educational and social interventions, networking opportunities, employment facilitation, and sensitization campaigns.
