On Saturday, November 16, 2024, kakalistiq.com reports that 20 young people completed a three-month skills training program organized by the National Youth Council of Nigeria, Epe Branch, and showcased their work at an exhibition held at the Epe Local Government Secretariat.
Led by Comrade Moibi Ibrahim, the initiative provided hands-on training in various crafts and skills on fashion design. During the exhibition, facilitators guided the trainees (who will be graduating on 14th December, 2024) through practical exercises where they displayed impressive creations and received constructive feedback.
“This is a strategic effort to promote job creation, support small and medium enterprises, and contribute to nation-building,” said Comrade Moibi during the event’s opening remarks. He also thanked the trainers and trainees for their commitment and enthusiasm.
One trainee, Kuye Ifeoluwa, a secondary school student in SS1, was recognized as the most punctual participant. Her dedication and passion throughout the program earned her praise from organizers and peers alike.
Another trainee, Mrs. Masun Sidikat shared her appreciation, saying, “The trainers hid nothing from us. They ensured everyone was carried along and treated us equally with love and respect.”
One of the facilitators, Mrs. Babalola Lateefat also expressed gratitude to the organizers and advised the trainees to value their certificates. “This certificate is more than a piece of paper, it will open doors to greater opportunities,” she said.
The event ended on a high note, with attendees and facilitators celebrating the achievements of the trainees and the program’s success in empowering youth in Epe.
