…Lawmaker Pledges Support, Highlights Ongoing Digital Transformation Through SAIL Innovation Lab.

During a courtesy visit on Wednesday to the newly launched All Progressives Congress (APC) National Youth Secretariat in Abuja, Senator Abiru hailed the President’s inspiring vision for Nigerian youth, describing the world-class facility as a shining example of leadership that unlocks creativity, innovation, and purpose.
In a press statement issued yesterday by his media aide, Mr. Enitan Olukotun, Senator Abiru commended the thoughtfulness behind the state-of-the-art centre, which boasts a game room and social area complete with table tennis, snooker, and other recreational facilities, as well as three multipurpose event spaces, a multimedia suite/podcast studio, a lounge, boardroom, and more.
“This is nothing short of inspiring,” Senator Abiru said after touring the facility. “It gives me hope that we have a generation which fully understands how the current world is evolving. You’ve created an environment where youth creativity will blossom, and a place they’ll be eager to visit.”
Abiru, who also chairs the Senate Committee on Banking, Insurance, and Other Financial Institutions, described the centre as a bold stride in the direction of sustainable youth engagement. He praised the APC National Youth Leader, Dr. Dayo Israel, for his visionary leadership and for raising the bar in youth-focused governance.
In a panel session moderated by Dr. Israel, Senator Abiru reaffirmed his passion for tech and digital innovation, particularly among young Nigerians. He invited the party’s youth wing to tour his SAIL Innovation Lab in Ikorodu, Lagos, and pledged to deepen collaboration with the APC Youth Secretariat.
“Young Nigerians, driven by purpose and vision, are building ideas that can truly shape the future of our nation,” he noted. “It’s a powerful reminder that Renewed Hope isn’t just a slogan, it’s already taking root.”
Senator Abiru proudly shared the impact of the SAIL Innovation Lab, revealing that over 1,900 young people have been trained in tech-based courses, including Data Science and Artificial Intelligence. He also highlighted a partnership with the MTN Foundation through which more than 6,000 teachers have been empowered under the SAIL Teachers’ Fellowship initiative.
In response, Dr. Dayo Israel expressed appreciation for the Senator’s visit and reaffirmed the APC National Youth Wing’s dedication to promoting political participation and leadership development among Nigeria’s youth.
