Rep. Wale Raji Mourns Beloved Teacher and Pioneer Ikosi-Ejinrin Chairman, Alhaji Ganiyu Akintola.

The Member representing Epe Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Wale Raji, has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of his former teacher and mentor, Alhaji Ganiyu Adio Akintola, the pioneer Executive Chairman of Ikosi-Ejinrin Local Council Development Area (LCDA).

In a heartfelt condolence message, Rep. Raji described the late Akintola as “a beloved father, impactful teacher, visionary leader, and committed community builder whose death is an irreparable loss to Ejinrin and the entire Epe Division.”

The lawmaker recalled fondly that the deceased was not just his “biology teacher but a man of remarkable vision and humility,” adding that his “selfless service to humanity and passion for community development left indelible marks in grassroots governance.”

Raji highlighted Akintola’s illustrious career, noting that he “rose from the classroom to the post of Principal at the prestigious Epe Grammar School, Permanent Secretary in the Lagos State Ministry of Education, and Pioneer Chairman of Ikosi-Ejinrin LCDA.” He said these milestones reflected “his enduring legacy of leadership, mentorship, and dedication to the common good.”

On behalf of the people of Epe Federal Constituency, the lawmaker extended his condolences to “the bereaved family, the people of Ejinrin community, and all residents of Ikosi-Ejinrin LCDA,” praying that Almighty Allah grant the departed “eternal rest in Al-Jannah Firdaus and give his family, associates, and the entire community the fortitude to bear this painful loss.”

He concluded with a touching farewell: “Adieu to my worthy teacher, inspiring leader, and community pillar. May his noble soul rest in perfect peace.”
