COLCAED Dean Hails LASUED’s Founders’ Vision, Celebrates VC Lafiaji-Okuneye’s Transformative Leadership.

kakalistiq.com reports that the Dean of the College of Languages and Communication Arts Education (COLCAED), Professor Folashade Ojetunde, has commended the leadership of Lagos State University of Education (LASUED) as the institution marks its Founders’ Day celebration.

In a statement released on Monday, the Dean extended warm congratulations to the university community under the stewardship of the Vice-Chancellor, Professor B.B Lafiaji-Okuneye, describing the occasion as a moment of reflection and renewed commitment to the institution’s founding ideals.

According to her, the celebration provides “a profound opportunity to reflect on the noble vision, resilience, and foresight of the founding fathers of our great institution, whose commitment laid the foundation for what Lagos State University of Education has become today: a citadel of learning, research, innovation, and service to humanity.”

Professor Ojetunde noted that LASUED has continued to record visible progress under the current administration, particularly in academics and infrastructure. She praised Professor Bilikis Lafiaji-Okuneye, the Vice-Chancellor’s style of leadership, saying, “Under your exemplary leadership, Lagos State University of Education has continued to record remarkable strides in academic excellence, infrastructural development, research productivity, and global visibility.”

She further highlighted the values driving the institution’s growth, stressing that, “Your dedication to upholding the core values of the University: integrity, excellence, commitment, inclusiveness, and professionalism, has further strengthened LASUED’s reputation in Lagos State and beyond.”

Describing the Founders’ Day as both a celebration and a reaffirmation of unity, the COLCAED Dean added, “As we celebrate this Founders’ Day, we also celebrate your purposeful stewardship, which has fostered unity, stability, and progress across all colleges and departments. The College of Languages and Communication Arts Education remains proud to be part of this shared journey of growth and transformation.”

She concluded with prayers and goodwill for the institution’s future, expressing hope that LASUED will continue to soar in relevance and impact. “It is our earnest prayer that Lagos State University of Education continues to flourish, achieving greater heights in the pursuit of knowledge and societal impact. May this celebration renew our collective commitment to the ideals upon which the University was founded.”

Professor Ojetunde finally reaffirmed her support for the Vice-Chancellor’s administration, saying, “Once again, please accept our heartfelt congratulations and best wishes for continued success in your administration.”
