In a heartwarming gesture of support, kakalistiq.com reports that the Old Students Association of Odo-Obara High School, Epe, Lagos State, on Wednesday, donated essential educational supplies and farm equipment to the current students of their alma mater.
The donation, which included farm machines and hundreds of exercise books, aims to enhance the learning experience and encourage practical skills among the students.
Speaking on behalf of the alumni, Arikewuyo Azeez Abiodun, a 1996 set graduate and National Vice President of the Old Students Association, highlighted the group’s commitment to giving back. “We came here today to fulfill our promise to assist the students with 600 exercise books for the senior school and 500 for the junior school,” Abiodun explained.
“Additionally, we are donating two farm machines—one each for the senior and junior schools—to help maintain the school environment. Our efforts to support Odo-Obara date back to 2000, and we will continue to uplift this school and its students.”
Echoing the sentiments, Akinwale Isiaka, another member of the 1996 set, emphasized the alumni’s long-standing dedication. “We are here today to present these tools and materials, which we hope will make a significant impact on the students’ learning journey,” Isiaka stated. “Our goal is to continually support the school and ensure the students have what they need to succeed.”
In her vote of thanks, Oreola Barakat, a current student, expressed heartfelt gratitude on behalf of her peers. “We are deeply thankful to the Old Students Association for remembering us and presenting us with these wonderful gifts,” Barakat said. “We pray that God continues to uplift you, and we look forward to more support in the future. Thank you so much.”
The generous donation reflects the alumni’s enduring bond with their alma mater and their commitment to empowering the next generation of Odo-Obara High School students.
