Alumni Honour Late President with School Projects, Donate Learning Materials to Students.

Odo-Obara Junior and Senior High School, Epe Lagos state, received a major boost as Old Students from different graduating sets came together to donate educational materials and unveil a new school gate with two solar-powered streetlights.

The projects were officially commissioned on Monday, September 22nd, in the school premises by Barrister Tajudeen Elias, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Odo-Obara Old Students Association, who dedicated the interventions to Mr. Arimi.

“I dedicate this program to my late friend and brother, former President of the Association, Yisa Arimi. May Allah continue to be merciful with his soul, forgive his shortcomings, and grant him Al Jannah Firdaus,” he prayed.

Barrister Elias, represented by the Association’s National President, Ustadh Ismail Abdrasak Gbenjo, commissioned a newly constructed school gate with two solar-powered streetlights donated by the 2000 set. The event also featured the distribution of writing materials by the 2001 set to all JSS 2 and JSS 3 students, along with the donation of seven white marker boards by the 2007 set.

“I’m greatly honoured and amazed to be considered worthy of this award. I remain humble and promise to renew my commitment to the Association and the society at large,” Barrister Elias stated during the program.

“I congratulate the set for coming up with this laudable project and urge you to continue mentoring those coming up behind you,” he added.

The school’s leadership was full of appreciation. The Principal of Odo-Obara Junior High School, Alhaja Awulat Owolabi, expressed gratitude for the alumni’s consistent support and applauded the National President for his active leadership. Mr. Leo, the Principal of the Senior School, also thanked the alumni for their efforts, saying, “As Oliver Twist, we request for more intervention.”
