In yet another infrastructural development stride, kakalistiq.com the Executive Chairman of Ikosi-Ejinrin Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Otunba-Akogun Wale Raji Anomo, presided over the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of Samson Adeniyi Street road in Ward E1, Agbowa. The brief but momentous event marks the commencement of a project that promises to greatly improve road connectivity and boost economic activities in the community.
The new road will serve as a critical link connecting Hospital Road, Court Road, and Methodist Road in Agbowa, easing access to the Agbowa General Hospital and enhancing mobility for residents. The project is scheduled to be completed within three months and will include the installation of street lights to ensure safety and convenience as the drainage has already been completed.
In attendance were several notable dignitaries and APC party stalwarts, including Alhaji Wasiu Dehinsilu, the Vice Chairman of Ikosi-Ejinrin LCDA; Mr. Sunday Awobajo, Council Manager; Otunba Nurudeen Yusuf; Hon. Hassan Mustapha, Leader of the House; Hon. Oguntimirin Adeyemi, Ward E1 Councillor; Hon. Yusuf Babatunde, Supervisor for Works; Hon. Kareemat Hassan, Supervisor for WAPA; former Vice-Chairman Alhaji Jimoh Odumeru; former Executive Secretary Hon. Yusuf Sulaimon; Alhaji Lateef Ifesanya; Alhaji Hassan (Baba Russia), and others, including community leaders and the project contractor.
Speaking at the ceremony, Otunba-Akogun Wale Raji Anomo reiterated his unwavering commitment to delivering transformative projects in Ikosi-Ejinrin LCDA. He highlighted the strategic importance of the road, explaining that it would not only improve connectivity between key areas but also make access to the General Hospital more seamless. He also emphasized the positive impact on local commerce and the potential for significant erosion control once the road is completed.
In his remarks, Otunba Nurudeen Yusuf commended the Chairman for his consistent delivery of impactful projects, noting that Otunba Anomo’s administration continues to be a source of pride for the community. He also urged the local youth to cooperate with the contractors and avoid any actions that could delay the project’s progress.
According to the Chief Press Secretary, Areh Abdulhameed, prominent community member and APC stalwart, Alhaji Lateef Ifesanya, also expressed his gratitude to the Chairman for addressing the long-standing challenges faced by residents in accessing the General Hospital. He acknowledged the Chairman’s efforts in turning this dream into reality and improving the quality of life in the area.
The Project Contractor, Engineer Ilesanmi promised residents for quality delivery explaining the stages involved while seeking for collaboration and cooperation of Youths and Residents in order to complete the job within the stipulated time.
The project is expected to be completed within three months, offering enhanced road usability, improved economic activity, better connectivity, and greater safety for residents.
