Doctor Idris Touches Lives With Free Medical Mission in Epe.

Epe Marina Waterfront came alive on Saturday, December 6, 2025, as residents trooped out to benefit from a compassion-driven free medical mission championed by Dr. Idris Saliu Adebayo, a rising symbol of humility, service, and community devotion from Epe Local Government.

At a time when the removal of fuel subsidy has pushed the cost of medications and medical care beyond the reach of many households, Dr. Idris’ SIA Impact Initiative delivered a lifeline, free consultations, tests, and drugs, to hundreds who have struggled quietly under Nigeria’s healthcare burdens. For many beneficiaries, the outreach was more than charity; it was hope restored.

Speaking during an exclusive interview at the waterfront, Dr. Idris explained the heartbeat behind his mission.
“We understand that the government is doing a lot. We as individuals need to think outside the box to fill the gap,” he said, noting that the country’s rising doctor-migration rate has left many communities underserved.
He added, “I am also from this area. I understand that Epe, being as it is, needs all the help it can get. So I decided to come home and begin from home.”

Despite assumptions that the outreach may be a stepping stone into politics, an increasingly familiar script in local communities, Dr. Idris dismissed the notion with clarity.
“No, I am not a politician, I’m not a political person neither am I a politician,” he stated, recalling his early passion for community healthcare from his student days.

In a heartfelt message to the youth, he urged constructive engagement and civic responsibility:
“We need to do what we can to be impactful, constructive, and not destructive… We should try to assist the government and think about how to move forward and not backwards.”

The impact of the mission spoke through the testimonies of beneficiaries. Alausa Mariam, who came for a routine check-up, was grateful after receiving diagnosis and treatment.
“I was diagnosed with rheumatism and got drugs for free. God bless Doctor Idris,” she said.

For 73-year-old Tanmori Oloritun, whose vision and body aches have troubled him for years, the experience was transformative.
“After being examined, I was given medications for free. May God elevate Doctor Idris,” he prayed.

Another beneficiary, Adebisi Kafilat Tanwa, echoed similar appreciation after receiving free treatment for malaria.
“All the medications given to me were free of charge. God bless Lagos State, God bless Epe, and God bless Doctor Idris,” she concluded.

With one mission, over 500 lives touched, and a community inspired, Dr. Idris Saliu Adebayo has quietly carved a place in the hearts of the people, proving that compassion, not politics, is still alive in grassroots service.
