During the AGM on Sunday, October 13th, outgoing President Opeluwa Balogun delivered an emotional farewell, recounting her two-year term from October 2022 to October 2024. Her address was a mix of gratitude, pride, and a touch of solemnity as she acknowledged both achievements and challenges.

“Our association has made great strides in the past two years,” Balogun began. “From empowering women with skill acquisitions to organizing impactful community outreach programs, we have touched lives across Epe Division. I am grateful to have been part of this journey.”

Under her leadership, EPWA launched various initiatives, including empowering over 20 women with vocational tools, distributing food items during political campaigns, and spearheading an endowment fund for academic excellence. The association also gained recognition by securing official registration with WAPA, Lagos State, and conducted numerous community outreach missions.

“Our biggest lesson has been that collaboration and diversity fuel our progress,” she continued. “We faced challenges, but we remained resilient. Together, we pushed forward.”

Outgoing Treasurer Alhaja Kunle Lawal presented a detailed financial report, shedding light on the association’s income, expenditure, and reserve funds. The session encouraged members to suggest ways to improve financial management and resource allocation.
