It was a sea of pristine white and traditional caps as members of Epe Club, the foremost socio-cultural organizations in Epe Division, Lagos State, gathered at the serene Jubilee Chalets, Epe, to celebrate the life and legacy of their late Board of Trustees Chairman, Otunba Bola Taiwo Odebiyi.
The atmosphere was both elegant and emotional as club members, friends, and dignitaries from across the world came together to pay glowing tributes to the man described as a vanguard of communal unity and progress.

Members of the Epe Club stood out distinctly in their trademark white attire and iconic caps, reflecting their shared bond and long-standing brotherhood. Their visible presence lent a special aura of respect and continuity to the event, as they celebrated one of their own who had played a defining role in the club’s history and Epe’s communal development.
Speaking with journalists, Hon. Giwa Idris, popularly known as Aloma and the club’s Publicity Secretary, described the late Odebiyi as a visionary leader whose legacy would remain deeply rooted in the hearts of all who knew him.
“Otunba Bola Odebiyi was more than a leader; he was the pillar of our unity and the embodiment of Epe’s communal spirit. As a founding member, he gave his all to ensure the growth and influence of Epe Club and our community at large,” he said.
Aloma further highlighted the late Odebiyi’s selfless leadership and inclusive approach, noting that his impact extended far beyond Epe.

“He brought people together from all divides, fostering friendship, understanding, and collective progress. Today, we are not mourning; we are celebrating a life that touched countless souls and set a high standard for service,” he added.
In attendance were several notable executives, including Alhaji Adisa Osiefa, Chief Bola Matanmi, Chief Hakeem Oluwo, Chief Ademola Lawal, Chief Bashorun Ogunsanya. Others are Alhaji Hameed Osiefa, Engineer Kunle Sikiru, Mr. Kunle Taiwo, and other distinguished members of Epe Club, who joined in honouring the man many described as the “heart of Epe Club.”
The event was filled with touching tributes, cultural displays, and heartfelt reflections from friends, associates, and family members who testified to Otunba Odebiyi’s lifelong commitment to service, mentorship, and philanthropy.
As the evening drew to a close, the bond of friendship among members of Epe Club was a living testament to the values of unity and brotherhood that their departed leader had tirelessly championed.
For the Epe Club, Otunba Bola Odebiyi may have departed this world, but his light continues to shine in every act of service, every bond of friendship, and every step taken towards the progress of Epe and its people.
