In a joyous spectacle, kakalistiq.com reports that Ejinrin, the once-thriving kingdom with a rich history, marked the groundbreaking ceremony for its much-anticipated town hall. The event, held on January 5th, 2023, unfolded with an air of visionary aspirations and a commitment to communal development.
At the gathering were party stalwarts, some of whom include Alhaja Ramota Bankole, former Lagos APC Welfare Officer; Mrs. Stella Odudolapo, Eredo LCDA Apex Leader; Hon. Toyin Gbadamosi, Epe APC LGA Chairman; Hon. Mahmud Agbaraojo, Eredo LCDA APC Chairman; and Hon. Wittu, Ikosi-Ejinrin LCDA APC Chairman.
The excitement radiated through the community, spurred by the recent film-city project on sprawling 100-hectare land and now the commencement of the iconic town hall. Oba Babatunde Balogun, Ejalonibu I, the revered monarch of Ejinrin, orchestrated this momentous occasion, showcasing his dedication to uplifting his community.
During his speech, Oba Balogun highlighted the pivotal role of Rep. Wale Raji in realizing this developmental milestone. The monarch expressed his conviction that Ejinrin deserved its share of progress, leading to the request for a town hall, a plea that Rep. Wale Raji promptly answered.
In a lively atmosphere blending cheers and jubilation, Oba Balogun acknowledged the unwavering support of his chiefs, who, following his instructions while he was in London, prepared the land for the town hall construction.
“When Wale Raji called me two weeks ago, I was in London and had yet to complete my tasks, which I began two months earlier. He told me that the contractors were ready, and I told him I couldn’t be absent. Therefore, I chose January 5th as a befitting date to celebrate the groundbreaking,” he said.
Overflowing with joy, Oba Balogun offered prayers of gratitude, thanking the Almighty for the success of the day. The monarch’s insistence on a celebration against Rep. Wale Raji’s preference for a low-key event, coupled with refreshments for all attendees, underscored his deep commitment to Ejinrin’s development.
Addressing the gathering, Oba Balogun stressed the importance of maximizing the provided land for the project, requesting facilities like a car park, a borehole for water supply, and perimeter fencing for safety. Rep. Wale Raji assured the monarch of fulfilling these requests.
Hon. Wale Raji Anomo, Chairman of Ikosi-Ejinrin LCDA, commended Rep. Wale Raji for the sweeping development in the Epe federal constituency. He highlighted previous projects, including a recreation center at Agbowa and Ito-Ikin lock-up shops, expressing a desire for more.
With a commitment to project ownership, Hon. Wale Raji-Anomo, accompanied by the council manager, called for community support. The gathering featured prominent figures, including party stalwarts, traditional chiefs, and leaders from various sectors, reflecting a united front for Ejinrin’s progress.
