In an effort to strengthen community security and tackle the rising cases of electricity cable vandalism, the Executive Chairman of Ikosi-Ejinrin LCDA, Otunba-Akogun Wale Raji Anomo,

has handed over a patrol bike to the Gbalule Local Security Taskforce.
The bike, donated by Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu through the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, is part of a broader initiative to enhance grassroots security and protect public infrastructure in the area.
During the presentation ceremony, Otunba Anomo expressed gratitude to Governor Sanwo-Olu for his consistent support to local councils. He also commended the Commissioner for Energy and Mineral Resources, Engr. Olowu Abiola Okanlawon, for his swift response in addressing the recent surge in cable theft.
“The safety of our people and public assets remains a top priority,” the Chairman stated. “This patrol bike will improve mobility for our security teams, and I urge them to maximize its use in safeguarding our communities.”
Mr. Raji Smart, Commander of the Gbalule Taskforce, thanked the Council Chairman for the support, assuring residents of heightened security operations. “This bike will significantly boost our efficiency in patrolling and responding to incidents,” he said.
With this new addition, residents of Ikosi-Ejinrin LCDA can expect improved security measures to combat vandalism and ensure safer neighborhoods.
