Lagos Lawmaker’s Group Empowers Epe Youth with Vocational Training.

A support group for Hon. Abiodun Mustain Tobun, the lawmaker representing Epe Constituency I in the Lagos State House of Assembly, has organized a skills acquisition workshop for youths across Epe Division.

The event, held on Thursday, August 28, 2025, at the Epe Local Government Secretariat, trained participants on the production of Batik Kampala fabric. The initiative was spearheaded by the group, Mustain Abiodun Tobun (MAT 2027).

The training was attended by the group’s founder, Alhaji Rabiu Quadri, and the APC Chairman of Epe Local Government, Hon. Oloruntoyin Gbadamoshi.

Hon. Gbadamoshi lauded the group “for identifying the heart of Hon. Tobun, whom he described as a lover of the youths and passionate leader, who cares about their future, which he demonstrated through several interventions to their development; including free Jamb sponsorship, Free GCE Forms, Empowerment, and Employment opportunity, amongst others.”

In his remarks, Alhaji Rabiu revealed that, “the training was organised, to equip the youths vocationally for the future, in order to be self-reliant and to contribute meaningfully to Nigeria economy in spite of the high level of unemployment in the country, as a result of over dependence on White-collar job.”

The event also had in attendance Chairman of Ward A5, Hon. Balina Omotayo Smart, joined by other loyalists of Hon. Tobun, who were on ground to represent the lawmaker.

Beneficiaries of the program expressed their gratitude. Mrs. Yemisi Alonge and other beneficiaries of the training, commended the MAT 2027, as they reiterated more support for Hon. Tobun Abiodun.
