In a demonstration of his unwavering commitment to student advancement and the continuous development of academic institutions, the Bursar of the Lagos State University (LASU), Mr. Babatunde Olayinka FCA, received the newly inaugurated 36th Executive Committee of the Lagos State University Students’ Union (LASUSU) in his office on Wednesday.
Led by its President, Comrade Adebayo Korede Peter, popularly known as APK, the student leaders engaged in a meaningful dialogue with Mr. Olayinka centered on collaboration, leadership values, and the growth of Lagos State University.
During the meeting, Mr. Olayinka emphasized the importance of student leadership rooted in integrity, transparency, and accountability. He urged the new executives to remain steadfast in their service to the student body and to uphold the principles that have contributed to LASU’s rising profile as a premier institution of learning.
“Our discussion today reaffirmed our shared commitment to advancing student welfare, promoting unity, and fostering a culture of responsible leadership. I charged the new executive to lead with diligence and continue the legacy of leadership that reflects the values we hold dear,” Mr. Olayinka stated.
He lauded the ongoing partnership between the university administration and the Students’ Union, noting that such collaboration has played a significant role in the university’s increasing reputation for excellence.
