LASUBEB Chairman Calls for High Standards in School Administration Ahead of Lagos Resumption. 

In a move to uphold world-class school administration and maintain high standards in public education, kakalistiq.com reports that Dr. Hakeem Babatunde Shittu, Chairman of the Lagos State Universal Basic Education Board (LASUBEB), convened a strategic meeting with school managers across Lagos State as they prepare for the new academic session.

The meeting, held yesterday at the NUT Pavilion in Agidingbi, Ikeja, brought together school leaders to align them with Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s education transformation agenda. Addressing the gathering, Dr. Shittu highlighted the critical need to strengthen school administration and uphold educational standards.

“As we prepare for the resumption of the new term, it is crucial that school administrators are fully prepared for more engagement in this session. LASUBEB is committed to providing the necessary support to ensure that our schools are well-equipped to deliver quality education,” he said, reiterating the board’s commitment to enhancing the quality of teaching and learning in the state.

Dr. Shittu further emphasized the importance of digital literacy among pupils and equitable access to free education, urging school managers to be proactive in implementing the state’s policies. He pointed to key challenges such as pupil enrollment, absenteeism, and retention in public primary schools, stressing the need for school leaders to address these issues head-on.

The Chairman concluded by affirming that the welfare of both pupils and teachers remains a top priority for LASUBEB, as the board continues its mission to elevate the standard of public education in Lagos State.
