This assurance came yesterday during a recent working visit by the Lagos State Local Government Service Commission to the LCDA Secretariat in Agbowa. The high-powered delegation, led by Hon. Kamal Ayinde Bayewu, was received with warm hospitality by the council chairman and his team.

The visit served as both an oversight exercise and a show of institutional solidarity, aimed at reviewing internal operations while encouraging continuous improvement in local governance practices.

In a moment of pride for the administration, the Commission commended the Chairman for what they described as a “transformative and exemplary” approach to staff welfare. According to the commissioners, Ikosi-Ejinrin LCDA is fast becoming a model for effective local governance and employee satisfaction across Lagos State.

Responding to the commendation, Anomo expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Commission for its visit and generous feedback. He used the opportunity to commend the council’s management team and staff for their consistent support and dedication, which he said had made the administration’s achievements possible.

“None of our progress would have been possible without the support and hard work of our staff. I remain committed to improving working conditions and ensuring that the welfare of our people remains at the heart of our policies,” he said.

As part of that commitment, the Chairman revealed that he had approved a ₦20,000 Ileya bonus for all staff members, a gesture he said was warmly received and deeply appreciated by the workforce.

The visiting delegation included Hon. Hakeem Adisa Bamgbala, Hon. Ahmed Ayinde Seriki, and Hon. Taofik Abiodun Adaranijo: respected Commissioners representing the five administrative divisions of Lagos State, alongside top Directors and Permanent Secretary representatives.

Their oversight covered vital service areas such as staff welfare, promotions, postings, and disciplinary matters. They also used the occasion to enlighten council workers about recent innovations and policies introduced into local government administration statewide.

The Council Manager, Mr. Awobajo Sunday, in his vote of thanks, acknowledged the Commission’s critical role in shaping local government policy and governance. He applauded the continuous support the council has enjoyed and reaffirmed its readiness to sustain a culture of excellence.

He also highlighted recent milestones achieved under Anomo’s leadership, including timely promotions, staff training programs, and a responsive administrative structure.

The visit concluded on a note of mutual respect and renewed optimism, with both parties affirming a shared goal: building a local government system that puts people, especially its workers, at the centre of development.

“This visit is not just an honour; it’s a motivation,” Anomo said. “We are more inspired than ever to continue serving the people of Ikosi-Ejinrin with dedication, equity, and vision.”
