kakalistiq.com reports that during a recent pre-commissioning tour on Sunday 13th October, 2024 in Epe, Rep. Wale Raji, the Federal House of Representatives member for Epe, has restated his commitment to the educational development of communities.
Raji’s visit to Oko-Abe in Ward C1, alongside political figures such as APC Party stalwart, Hon. Rotimi, Chairman of APC Ward Chairmen in Lagos State, Hon Seriki Olabowale (Kelekele) and other community stakeholders, highlighted his dedication to addressing the educational needs of the area, acknowledging reports that students had been unable to attend school since the term began in September and promised swift action.
“I can assure you that everything that needs to be done to make the school ready will be completed within a month,” Raji stated. “We will provide furniture, toilet facilities, and a borehole for water supply. This is our responsibility, and my legislative role is an opportunity to serve Allah through serving the community.”
Stressing the importance of consistent engagement beyond election periods, he remarked, “Our visit to you should not be limited to the election season. You supported us during the elections, and it would be irresponsible to abandon you after that. We are here to respond to your calls, and I am grateful that we can fulfill this request.”
He announced that the soon-to-be-commissioned school infrastructure sponsored by him is virtually completed and arrangements for formal opening for academic activities in collaboration with the Lagos State Ministry of Education is on top gear.
The tour also extended to Graceland, Owolomoshe, Adisa Dina, and Olundegun Streets in Papa Epe, where Raji assessed the state of local roads at the request of community leaders, including the Epe LG Vice Chairman, Hon. Sikiru Owolomose, and Alhaji Balogun (Alhaji Imota). The visit marked the beginning of considerations for road construction projects slated for the 2025 budget.
Hon. Owolomose praised Raji’s hands-on approach, stating, “The Lawmaker has a reputation for providing lasting solutions to community issues, and we are confident that his intervention will bring much-needed relief to our road network.”
The presence of Rep. Raji was a beacon of hope for many residents, renewing their faith in development through cooperation between leaders and constituents. Alhaji Imota, a religious elder, expressed his optimism, saying, “Rep. Raji’s visit is a lifeline for our community. We believe that with his support, the roads will soon be fixed.”
Rep. Wale Raji’s efforts highlights the vital role of active representation and collaboration in fostering growth and development. Through his engagements, he has demonstrated that attentive governance goes beyond mere politics, it is about building a legacy of progress and inclusivity.
