kakalistiq.com reports that the National Space Research and Development Agency (NASRDA) is gearing up to host a vital Space Industry Stakeholders Workshop on Tuesday, April 8, 2025, in a bold move to establish structured regulations for Nigeria’s burgeoning space sector.
Under the theme “Sensitization and Engagement of Stakeholders on the Commencement of Space Regulation, Spectrum Management, and Licensing in Nigeria,” the event will bring together industry leaders, policymakers, and experts to chart a clear path for space-related activities in the country.
The workshop, which kicks off at 10:00 AM at the Prof. Robert Ajayi Boroffice Multipurpose Conference Hall, Obasanjo Space Centre, Abuja, will feature critical discussions on licensing procedures, regulatory frameworks, and compliance standards for space operations.

Hon. Uche Geoffrey Nnaji, Minister of Innovation, Science, and Technology, will serve as the Chief Host, while Dr. Matthew Olumide Adepoju, Director General of NASRDA, will lead the engagements as the Host.
Engr. Dr. Aiyeola Sikiru Yommy, the Director of Space Regulation and Spectrum Management disclosed that the forum is open to Space industry stakeholders, researchers and academia, government officials and policy makers.
He averred that the event will be a defining moment for Nigeria’s space ambitions adding that by fostering collaboration, NASRDA aims to create a sustainable and well-regulated space ecosystem.
