kakalistiq.com reports that commendations have continued to pour in following the commissioning of three newly built secondary schools facilitated by Rep. Wale Raji, the Member representing Epe Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives.
The schools, located in some of the most remote and underserved communities: Oko-Abe in Epe LGA, Ilege in Lekki LCDA, and Owu-Ikosi in Ikosi-Ejinrin LCDA, were officially commissioned on Thursday, August 21, 2025, by the Lagos State Deputy Governor, His Excellency Dr. Kadri Obafemi Hamzat, who was represented by Hon. Jamiu Alli-Balogun.
The commissioning sent ripples of excitement across the constituency and the state. Each of the schools consists of a block of 12 classrooms, making a total of 36, fully furnished and equipped with solar-powered boreholes and modern toilet facilities.
The gesture has since attracted glowing commendations from educationists, political stakeholders, and the wider Epe community.

Professor Nosiru Onibon, a former Provost of MOCPED and pioneer Deputy Vice-Chancellor of LASUED, in a statement described the lawmaker as a trailblazer in public service. He said:
“MHR Wale Raji is redefining community representation in public arena. When we thought it’s over, we still can single out Hon. Raji. I contend that it is a result of sincere intention to serve the people and audacity to deliver. Thank you MHR Wale Raji for continuing to be responsible sir.”
Another strong voice of commendation came from Abiodun Keshinro (popularly known as Omoluabi), who praised Raji’s commitment to grassroots development. In his words:
“Politics is not about personal development or gains. It is all about the commitment to the development of the generality of the people. Sir, I share your vision and commitment to quality representation without borders. Your strides in infrastructure development viz-a-viz education, health, road network, streetlighting and capacity development are laudable initiatives that are commendable.”
“MHR, Sir, you have indeed raised the bar of political representation at the grassroot, it can only get better. It is also important I also acknowledge the effort of committed aids and political allies working behind the scenes in making sure all set objectives are accomplished.”
“Sir, in the final analysis, all these themselves will not be as important as the people who participated in making sure it became a reality and those that will benefit from them thereof. It’s not the platform that has value, but the human beings whose dedication sacrifice and service give it life. Raising the bar is selfless, kudos to the entire team,”
Beyond individuals, the Epe People’s Opinion Poll Platform also celebrated the milestone, describing it as a long-awaited intervention for forgotten communities. In its statement, the platform said Hon. Raji’s latest stride reflected his consistent commitment to uplifting the constituency:
“Honorable Wale Raji, Member of the House of Representatives representing the Epe Federal Constituency, who took a significant steps as usual to facilitate another secondary school educational facilities for Oko-Abe, a village that lacked secondary school educational facilities for many years, Ilege and Owu-Ikosi respectively.
His efforts demonstrate a commitment to improving educational access and quality for underprivileged communities.
These three new secondary school buildings have 12 classrooms each with furniture, toilet facility and solar powered boreholes for water supply.
This development is crucial, as it aims to provide the children of Oko-Abe, Ilege and Owu-Ikosi communities with the foundational knowledge and skills necessary for their personal and academic growth.
The establishment of these secondary schools is expected to have a transformative impact on the communities, empowering families and fostering a culture of education that can lead to broader social and economic improvements.
Honorable Raji’s initiative highlights the importance of education in breaking the cycle of poverty and enhancing opportunities for future generations.
Epe division will never forget you for all these innovations facilitated to our constituency during your tenure.”
With voices like Prof. Onibon, Abiodun Keshinro, and the Epe Opinion Poll platform joining the chorus of appreciation, the commissioning of these schools is more than a celebration of infrastructure. It is a reflection of hope restored, promises fulfilled, and the brighter future now possible for the children of Epe’s rural communities.
