In a move that can be described as both strategic and symbolic, the tenacious and progress-driven Tutor-General and Permanent Secretary of Education District IV, Prince Segun Osinaike, has been officially redeployed by the Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, to oversee Education District III.
The redeployment, which was announced yesterday, is being celebrated as a homecoming for Prince Osinaike, whose illustrious teaching journey peaked in the Epe zone, one of the educational hubs under District III, fondly referred to as “The Glowing District.”
Reacting to the development in an interview, Prince Osinaike expressed deep gratitude to the Lagos State Governor for the trust reposed in him to continue to raise the bar in the State’s education sector under the THEMES Plus agenda. The THEMES Plus development agenda, which places heavy emphasis on transforming learning outcomes, has seen considerable traction under his leadership in District IV.
“I am deeply honoured by the confidence His Excellency, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has shown in me. This redeployment is more than a new assignment; it’s a homecoming to where my career first took flight. I assure all stakeholders that I am coming with renewed vigour and a greater commitment to excellence. We will push boundaries, inspire change, and light up The Glowing District with unmatched educational innovation,” Prince Osinaike stated.
The accomplished education administrator reflected on his impactful tenure at Education District IV, where he pioneered reforms that improved learning conditions, fostered teacher empowerment, and strengthened student performance metrics. He assured that the same transformational energy will be replicated and amplified in his new posting.
Prince Osinaike also seized the opportunity to extend his heartfelt appreciation to Mr. Bode Agoro, the Head of Service, for his consistent encouragement and leadership, particularly in advancing progressive reforms within the State’s civil service.
Highlighting a recent personal milestone, Prince Osinaike spoke about being honoured with the Lagos State Long Service Award, calling it a humbling recognition of his enduring contributions to public service.
“The Long Service Award is not just a pat on the back; it is a challenge to keep striving, to keep giving more. As I take up the mantle in District III, I am reminded that in Lagos, the reward for hard work is truly more work and I embrace it wholeheartedly,” he added.
With his redeployment, education stakeholders across District III can expect a leader driven by passion, guided by experience, and committed to delivering tangible results that align with the State’s education transformation goals.
As Lagos continues to chart new frontiers in public service delivery, the redeployment of Prince Segun Osinaike is a strategic move to consolidate gains, inspire renewed purpose, and ensure no district is left behind in the drive for educational excellence.
