Rep. Wale Raji has underscored his commitment to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda during the groundbreaking ceremony of Omola Community Primary and Junior Secondary Schools held yesterday at Odomola Kingdom, Epe Federal Constituency. Addressing the gathering, Raji explained that the project was designed to address gaps in educational facilities in line with UN, UNESCO, and UNICEF standards, which recommend that no child should travel more than three kilometers to access primary education.

“The people of Kula-Nla have waited too long. It’s unacceptable for neighborhoods with speedy developments on this side of Odomola to remain without schools,” Raji said. “When the Monarch approached me about siting a school here, we committed to making it happen and within six months, we are turning that vision into reality. Students can expect admission come September 2026.”

Raji detailed his giant strides in the education sector: “We’ve constructed 180 classrooms complete with furniture, solar-powered boreholes, and modern toilets. Underserved areas like Ilege, Oko-Abe, Owu-Ikosi, and Temu have benefited from newly established junior and senior secondary schools.”

Raji also highlighted other ongoing and proposed constituency projects, noting, “Through the 2025 repeal and reenactment bill, we secured the construction of the  Omola schoos. We will construct a Fish Processing and Preservation Center at Oluwo Market, complete Agbowa Mini Stadium and upgrade Adesowon Secondary School, Ayandelu Community Academy, Ota-Ikosi Community Secondary School and St. Patrick’s Senior Grammar School. We’re also planning to install 600–700 solar streetlights across our communities. I thank our royal fathers and political leaders for championing impactful requests.”

On future ambitions, he stated, “If we seek another term, it is to ensure that we consolidate on the progress we’ve made. Contractors trust us to deliver, and we must consolidate on this confidence.”

Raji likened Epe Federal Constituency to a patient in intensive care, emphasizing his experience: “You need an expert to operate and not a freshly graduated medical student. I know the nooks and crannies of the National Assembly and the doors to open for us to get projects for our constituency. Those who wish to learn should keep calm, I will not be here forever. Our aim is to consolidate on our sterling performance.”

“I’ve been tested and trusted. I didn’t disappoint you yesterday, I’m not disappointing you now, and I will not disappoint you tomorrow, by the special grace of God,” he added.

He concluded his address, saying that, “All these initiatives align with President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda. From promises to tangible projects, we are actualizing hope in Epe. When we commission Pobo and Aladepekun markets, a total of 900 shops will have been provided free of charge to our people. That is real hope in action.”

HRM Oba Babatunde Ogunlaja, joined by other distinguished monarchs including Alara of Ilara, Aladepekun of Odo-Egiri, Alade Uraka of Poka, Adegbajo of Odo-Gbawojo and Oniladaba of Ladaba lauded the lawmaker’s dedication. He said, “This is the kind of leadership that turns words into action. We celebrate the timely arrival of these schools, which will empower our children and strengthen the future of our communities.”

HRM Oba Sulaimon Adebowale, Omola of Odomola, expressed his delight at the groundbreaking: “For generations, our children have longed for accessible quality education. Today, we witness a historic moment that promises brighter opportunities for our youth. We are deeply grateful to Rep. Wale Raji for delivering on this promise.”
