In a significant visit earlier today, Kakalistiq com reports that clerics from the Anglican Church of the Lagos Diocese, led by Rt. Rev. Dr. Ifedola Senasu Gabriel, paid a courtesy call on the Executive Chairman of Ibeju Lekki Local Government, Hon. Abdullahi Sesan Olowa, at his office in the Secretariat in Igando-Oloja.
The delegation included prominent church leaders such as Very Revd. Dr. Adebola Ojoferitimi, Ven. John Agboro, Ven. Williams Mehusan, Ven. Oreoluwa Agbelusi, Revd. Segun Olufaloju, Revd. Adeleke Ikuomonisan, Revd. Michael Nwijani, and Mr. Marcus.
During the visit, Rt. Rev. Gabriel commended Hon. Olowa for his achievements in various sectors, highlighting his efforts to combat unemployment. “Your commitment to the development of Ibeju Lekki is commendable, but we urge you to continue tackling youth idleness, which remains a major challenge,” the Bishop stated.
Rev. Gabriel also announced plans for a rally titled “PRAY FOR NIGERIA” scheduled for October 1st, 2024, urging all citizens to participate in this walk of supplication for the nation’s growth.
In response, Hon. Olowa expressed gratitude for the visit and outlined the strides his administration has made in economic development, social and security improvement, infrastructural development, and environmental sustainability. “We remain dedicated to implementing people-oriented policies that positively impact the lives of our community members,” Olowa assured.
The meeting ended with Rt. Revd. Gabriel presenting Hon. Olowa with a book he authored, while the Chairman reciprocated with complimentary copies of his administration’s performance report over the past three years, symbolizing a shared commitment to progress and community upliftment.
