Epe Lawmaker Distributes ₦18m Palliatives, Urges Muslims to Uphold Ramadan Virtues.

In the spirit of Ramadan, kakalistiq.com reports that Hon. Sylvester Ogunkelu (Sketel), the lawmaker representing Epe Constituency II, has called on Muslim faithful to uphold the virtues of the holy month beyond the fasting period, emphasizing their role in fostering peace, harmony, and development.

He spoke on March 29 during a palliative distribution exercise, where he put smiles on the faces of 2,000 constituents by distributing food items and cash relief worth ₦18 million. Each beneficiary received a 10kg bag of rice and a ₦5,000 cash gift, a gesture aimed at easing economic hardships and promoting communal welfare.

“The essence of Ramadan is not just about fasting but about embodying kindness, discipline, and selflessness,” he said. “If we continue these virtues beyond this period, our constituency will thrive socially, politically, and economically. Harmony and development go hand in hand with the values of patience, generosity, and unity.”

Hon. Ogunkelu reiterated that his commitment to the welfare of his people is unwavering, citing ongoing and completed developmental projects as proof of his dedication. He assured residents of more initiatives aimed at improving their quality of life and fostering progress.
As he wished everyone a joyous Eid-el-Fitr celebration, the lawmaker reaffirmed his pledge to quality representation and continued support for the people of Epe Constituency II.
