The surprise conferment unfolded at the Oba’s palace during what was initially planned as a private meeting between the Chairman, his team, and the monarch, following an inspection of the ongoing construction of the NSCDC Divisional Headquarters in Odo-Ayandelu.

“Today, we are not just celebrating a leader but honoring a transformative force whose impact on Odo-Ayandelu and Ikosi-Ejinrin LCDA has been unparalleled,” Oba Aderibigbe declared, after wishing Anomo a happy birthday. “Since the creation of this LCDA, no Chairman has matched the level of development and progress you have brought to our communities.”

The monarch emphasized that the Alayandelu-in-Council does not bestow chieftaincy titles lightly. “Since my ascension to the throne in 2010, this is the first time a sitting Chairman has been deemed worthy of such an honor,” Oba Aderibigbe noted. “This title is not a gift; it is earned. Akogun Wale Raji Anomo’s relentless commitment to community development and strategic project execution set him apart.”

During the ceremony, Oba Aderibigbe highlighted some of Anomo’s significant contributions, including the provision of a 500kva transformer to the Odo-Onosa community, the ongoing construction of the NSCDC Divisional Headquarters, and the soon-to-be-constructed Odo-Ayandelu Community Hall. “These are not just projects; they are lifelines that have transformed our kingdom and improved the quality of life for our people,” the monarch stated.

In the official letter of conferral, Oba Aderibigbe praised Anomo’s initiatives in rural electrification, educational infrastructure, support for local farmers, and financial relief programs. “Your leadership has been a beacon of hope for the citizens, and we stand united behind your second-term bid,” the letter concluded.

The Chairman was accompanied by key officials, including Vice Chairman Alhaji Wasiu Oluwole Dehinsilu, Council Manager Mr. Awobajo Sunday, Council Treasurer Mr. Lawal Adeshina, Chief of Staff Hon. Jayesinmi Abiodun, and Supervisor for Works Hon. Yusuf Babatunde, who all witnessed the historic moment.

Accepting the title, Akogun Wale Raji Anomo expressed deep gratitude to the monarch and the Alayandelu-in-Council. “This honor is not just a recognition of past accomplishments but a call to do more,” he said. “We have laid the foundation, but there is still much work ahead. I assure the people of Odo-Ayandelu and Ikosi-Ejinrin LCDA that my commitment to their welfare remains unwavering.”

As he continues to blaze trails in public service, the title of Otunba Akogun of Odo-Ayandelu not only celebrates Akogun Wale Raji Anomo’s achievements but also propels him to greater heights. With a legacy already etched in the annals of Ikosi-Ejinrin LCDA, the Chairman’s transformative journey is far from over.
