Kenny Kadri-Edu, former Epe LG Vice-Chairman and convener of the BOS2023 Project, organized a critical prayer session named “Prayer for Nigeria” at Shagari Estate, Epe. This solemn gathering held significant importance as it emphasized the vital role of political leaders in fostering the growth of Nigeria, Lagos State, and Epe LG through spiritual means. The event, timed during the Ramadan period, aimed to seek divine guidance for leaders and address the nation’s economic challenges through collective supplication.

The program underscored the belief in the efficacy of prayers as a means of spiritual fortification, especially for leaders like President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Governor Babajide Sanwoolu, and Princess Surah Olayemi Animashaun. It highlighted the urgent need for divine intervention to steer the country away from its present state.

The solemn prayers for divine intervention were led by revered Islamic scholars, including Fadeelatul Sheikh Hafeez Edu, Grand Ajanosi Sheikh Al Barry Zemzem, Sheikh Alhaji Balogun Sobur, Sheikh Sulaimon Igbokoyi, and Ustaz Maroof. Their collective wisdom and spirituality enriched the gathering, invoking unity and seeking divine blessings for the nation, Lagos State, and Epe LG.

Addressing the audience, Hon. Kenny Kadri-Edu expressed the significance of coming together to seek divine intervention, stating, “The time is now right to reflect on the questions concerning our country, and the best option is to use the opportunity of the holy month to pray for God’s intercession.”

In response to the critical role of women in politics, APC Women Leader Alhaja Oluwo remarked, “Women play a vital role in shaping the political landscape, and events like these showcase our dedication to seeking divine guidance for the betterment of our nation.”

Reflecting on the impact of the prayers, Hon. Kamaldeen Olaide commented, “The prayers offered today hold immense significance as they symbolize our collective hope for a prosperous and peaceful Nigeria. We believe in the power of prayer to bring about positive change.”

The gathering included esteemed political figures such as Alhaji Balogun (Pako), APC Youth Leader; Mr. Mahmud Edu, Bourdilloun Leader; Hon. Kamaldeen Olaide, former APC Epe Constituency I House of Assembly aspirant; and Mr. Sanuth Ibrahim, former Club 70s Epe President, among other prominent individuals dedicated to the nation’s progress.

Hon. Lekan Liadi, an executive of the BOS2023 Project, concluded the event with heartfelt gratitude, acknowledging the genuine concern and love exhibited by all participants towards the nation’s progress through prayer.
