ICAN Epe and District Society Inspires Brilliance in Young Adults with Inter-Institutional Quiz Competition

In a bid to nurture the talents and potential of young adults across the Epe Division, kakalistiq.com reports that the ICAN Epe and District Society, under the leadership of Chairman Mrs. Hellen Omotoke-Deile, has successfully organized its maiden inter-institutional quiz competition.

The event, which saw the participation of tertiary institutions such as Lagos State University of Education (LASUED), Yaba College of Technology (YABATECH), Augustine University Ilara (AUI), and Pan Atlantic University (PAU), aimed to inspire brilliance and intellectual proficiency among the youth.

Chairman Mrs. Hellen Omotoke-Deile, reiterated the organization’s commitment to empowering young adults and promoting the accounting profession. She emphasized the importance of catching them young and encouraging them to strive for excellence in their chosen field. With plans for sustainability, Mrs. Deile assured that the competition will continue to inspire and motivate young adults in the Epe Division.

“As part of our programs to catch them young into the accounting profession, we have organized the first inter-tertiary institution competition. We are using the opportunity to give one of our students a scholarship who came first in the Catch Them Young program interview for the ICAN Epe district.

“It is very important to encourage our youths to let them know that there is more to being themselves, realizing themselves and becoming somebody of importance in society. And the accounting profession is one of such professions that you can beat your chest that you can beat your chest that is of high integrity and accuracy in whatever they do,” she stated.

High Chief Charles Keshinro, past ICAN Epe and District Society Chairman, echoed Mrs. Deile’s sentiments, emphasizing the importance of hard work and dedication in achieving success. He encouraged students to take advantage of opportunities provided by ICAN programs to excel in their academic and professional pursuits.

Dr. Olalekan Olayinka, Chairman of the planning committee, highlighted the rewarding nature of the event despite its challenges. He expressed satisfaction with the success of the program and welcomed all young adults to participate in future initiatives.

The event concluded with the presentation of prizes, medals, and awards to the winners, with the champion receiving an HP laptop and the runners-up receiving smartphones. The organizers delivered closing remarks, thanking participants and stakeholders for their support and commitment to the success of the competition.
