These included laws on sanitation and environmental protection, revenue generation, regulation of motorcycles and tricycles, and market operations, among others. The Executive Chairman, Akogun Wale Raji Anomo, praised the Councillors for their dedication and announced the establishment of two new agencies—the Environmental Protection Agency and the Road Maintenance Agency—once the bills are enacted. “These agencies are essential to ensuring a cleaner environment and better-maintained infrastructure, which will significantly enhance the quality of life for all residents,” Anomo asserted.

Rt. Hon. The council has also intensified efforts to prevent flooding through a comprehensive drainage desilting exercise across multiple communities within the LCDA. In addition to these initiatives, the LCDA has resumed its road grading project, which has already improved over 150 community and street roads. Also worthy of note is the acquisition of three (3) new 500KVA power transformers for Ododugba Community in Ward Q1, Mosafejo Community in Ward E2, and Otta-Ikosi Community in Ward F1.

Additionally, there’s an ongoing construction of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC) Office complex in the Odo-Ayandelu community.
