Lagos SUBEB Opens Recruitment Portal for Qualified Teachers, Sets October 14 Application Deadline.

The Lagos State Universal Basic Education Board (LASUBEB) has officially announced the opening of its online application portal for teaching job vacancies across the state.

This announcement was made this afternoon by the Executive Chairman of LASUBEB, Dr. Hakeem Shittu

, via the board’s official Facebook page (@Lagos SUBEB), following the kind approval of the Governor of Lagos State.

According to the notice, the recruitment is open to qualified individuals who are passionate about teaching and committed to supporting the delivery of quality basic education in Lagos State.

The opportunity is available to holders of the following qualifications:

Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE)

B.A (Ed), B.Sc (Ed), or B.Ed

HND holders with Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE)

BA or B.Sc holders with PGDE

As for the minimum requirements, the notice stated that applicants must have the following documents:

1. O’Level Certificate (WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB)

2. Degree or NCE Certificate

3. NYSC Discharge or Exemption Certificate (where applicable)

The notice emphasized that results or certificates older than two (2) years will not be accepted if they are only statements or notifications of results.

While the notice clearly stated that the application is strictly online through the portal: https://subebjobs.lagosstate.gov.ng, it added that no physical submission of applications will be accepted.

LASUBEB warns applicants not to pay any money to anyone, as the application process is completely free.

While the recruitment portal will close on October 14, 2025, the notice stated that interested and qualified candidates should apply promptly and follow all stated guidelines.
