Lagos TESCOM Pledges Support for Youth Empowerment and Education in Epe Division

Kakalistiq.com reports that Hon. Segun Agbaje, Commissioner III of the Lagos Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM), has restated its commitment towards empowering young people with careers in educational and vocational training.

The commissioner spoke in Lagos with the leadership of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Epe branch, on Tuesday, February 13th, 2024, during a productive dialogue session. The meeting focused on key issues such as employment, vocational skill acquisition, and community services, aiming to bolster opportunities for the youth in Epe Division.

During the dialogue, Commissioner Agbaje emphasized the commission’s commitment to empowering young people by providing modern vocational training skills and exploring opportunities in the vibrant teaching service sector. “We are dedicated to creating an enabling environment for the youth of Epe to thrive in various fields,” stated Commissioner Agbaje.

In response, Coordinator Comrade Moibi Ibrahim of the NYCN emphasized the need for the youth to consider teaching as a viable profession and to explore the opportunities available in vocational education. “Our goal is to champion the cause of young people by pursuing careers in teaching and acquiring valuable vocational skills,” commented Comrade Ibrahim.

The leadership of the youth council expressed gratitude by presenting gifts to Commissioner Agbaje and the Permanent Secretary for their unwavering dedication to the development of Epe Division and Lagos State.

As the dialogue concluded, both parties affirmed their commitment to collaboration and mutual support in advancing youth empowerment and education in Epe, reflecting a promising future for the region’s youth.
