In a united front, kakalistiq.com reports that political stalwarts and local administrators from Epe Federal Constituency have commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Rep. Wale Raji for their unwavering support in revitalizing agriculture within the region.

This commendation follows the recent distribution of free fertilizers, a strategic move aimed at boosting food production and curbing the rising cost of living.

Rep Wale Raji

Hon. Kehinde Adeniyi, the Lagos APC Welfare Secretary, in an interview, praised President Tinubu’s resolve to direct the distribution of fertilizers to Epe’s farmers. He noted that this initiative is not just a temporary relief but a significant step towards reducing the burden of food costs on the populace. “The President’s initiative reflects his deep commitment to the welfare of our farmers and the broader goal of food security. It’s a powerful message that echoes the need for unity and calm. Protests will only disrupt the progress we are making.”

Epe Local Government Chairman, Princess Surah Animashaun, also lauded the President and Rep. Raji for their focus on the agricultural sector. She emphasized their dedication to the growth and development of Epe, highlighting how they consistently listen to the people’s needs. “Farming is the way forward, and we are grateful for the support we’ve received. Rest assured, the palliative distribution will be put to good use. Our youths have chosen peace over protests, demonstrating the same maturity they showed during the EndSARS movement, which never took root in Epe.”

Hon. Ismail Akinloye, Chairman of Eredo LCDA, echoed similar sentiments, praising Rep. Raji’s leadership. “I’m not flattering you, but he has truly touched many lives across all sectors. The palliative distribution is commendable and will be replicated in our LCDA to further boost food production. This is what democracy should look like—delivering real, tangible benefits to the people.”

Otunba Femi Oke, reflecting on the current situation, expressed his excitement about the agricultural advancements in Epe, crediting Rep. Raji’s dedication during his tenure as Permanent Secretary. He also acknowledged the federal government’s commitment, recalling a recent event aimed at addressing rising food costs, where Senator George Akume represented the President. “There’s no need for protests. The focus should be on supporting our farmers and allowing them to benefit from the government’s aid. I thank the President on behalf of the farmers in Epe, Lagos, and the entire South West.”

Otunba Nuru, Chairman of the Wale Raji Think-Tank Committee, and Alhaja Folake Olaide were explicit in their appeal, stressing the importance of ensuring that the fertilizers reach the intended crop farmers. “This fertilizer must not be sold off but used as intended. It’s crucial for our collective future. We urge for peace and calm—protests will only bring harm, as we learned from the destructive EndSARS protests.”

The leaders of the Epe Federal Constituency have not only expressed their gratitude but have also called for a continued focus on agricultural growth and community peace. With the backing of President Tinubu and Rep. Wale Raji, they believe that Epe is on the path to greater prosperity and resilience.
