Princess Surah Olayemi Animashaun FHTI, has inaugurated the Epe Students Bursary Award Program, a bold initiative designed to provide financial support to indigent undergraduate students from Epe studying in recognized tertiary institutions across Nigeria.
During the launch of the first phase on Friday 11th October, 2034 at the LG secretariat Chambers, Ita-Marun Hon. Animashaun emphasized the importance of education in shaping the future of the community and acknowledged the financial challenges faced by many students. “This bursary program is my response to those challenges, ensuring that every student, regardless of their financial background, can access quality education,” she stated.
Youth Representative Comrade Rahmon Saheed lauded Hon. Animashaun as “a mother and a good listener,” praising her leadership for positively transforming Epe. Similarly, Hon. Shittu Aliu, Education Secretary, highlighted the Chairman’s dedication to educational development, calling the bursary program a testament to her commitment to empowering the youth of Epe.
Comrade Yusuff Kazeem, recently recognized as the Best Teacher in the Secondary School category in Nigeria, expressed gratitude to Hon. Animashaun and advised beneficiaries to make the most of this opportunity. The recipients, in turn, thanked the Chairman for her generosity, pledging to use the funds wisely.
The event concluded with the presentation of bursary funds to the beneficiaries by the Executive Chairman. Dignitaries in attendance included prominent members of the local government, youth representatives, and community leaders, all showing their support for this landmark educational initiative.
