Olusegun Agbaje Distributes Food, Cash to Epe Residents, Alleviating Hardship Amidst Economic Challenges.

Kakalistiq.com reports that residents of Epe received a much-needed lifeline on Sunday, March 10th, 2024, as Otunba Hon. Jamiu Olusegun Agbaje, a Lagos APC party stalwart and Commissioner III of the Lagos State Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM), led an initiative to provide food to the community. Coordinated by APC party chieftains across the nine wards in Epe, the exercise, tagged “Idera De Food Relief Package,” aimed to alleviate the hardship experienced by residents, particularly staunch party supporters, people living with disabilities, and the elderly.

At the event, which saw a large turnout of residents and party loyalists, Hon. Agbaje and his team distributed cash assistance of 10,000 Naira to five recipients in each ward, along with food palliatives containing rice and garri to 20 beneficiaries per ward. Notable party leaders such as Hon. Agbadanla, former Epe LG Vice-Chairman, Hon. Shakiru Jagbojagbo, Hon. Gbenle Aliu, Chief Kazeem Borokinni, Hon. Ogundimu, Hon. Reuben Adebowale (Ward D1, Ise-Igbogun), and Mrs. Adebomehin Funmilola (Ward A6) were in attendance.

In an interview, Hon. Olusegun Agbaje emphasized the importance of providing support to those in need, especially during challenging times. He described the initiative as a personal effort to mitigate the effects of hardship on residents and reiterated his commitment to continue such charitable acts to reach a larger number of people.

In response to the economic realities facing the country and the beginning of the holy month of Ramadan, Hon. Agbaje stated, “In these challenging times, we must come together as a community to support one another. As we enter the holy month of Ramadan, let us remember the importance of compassion and generosity towards those in need. I hope that initiatives like this will provide some relief to our fellow citizens and inspire others to contribute to the welfare of our community.”

Hon. Gbenle Aliu, another party leader, commended the initiative, highlighting its significance in addressing the socioeconomic challenges faced by residents. He urged patience from the community members, emphasizing that the exercise would continue to benefit more individuals soon.

Beneficiaries expressed gratitude and offered prayers to Hon. Agbaje and his team for their generosity and support during these difficult times.

The provision and distribution of palliatives by Hon. Jamiu Olusegun Agbaje exemplifies the spirit of compassion and solidarity within the Epe community.
