On Sunday, September 22, 2024, kakalistiq.com reports that Rep. Wale Raji, representing Epe Federal Constituency, conducted an on-site inspection of key road networks in Odomola and the popular Pobo market in Poka, Epe, Lagos State, signaling the commencement of new developmental projects.
The lawmaker, accompanied by Eredo LCDA Chairman, Hon. Ismail Akinloye, the Omola of Odomola Kingdom, HRM Oba Adeshina Adebowale; Eredo LCDA Supervisor for Works, Hon. Tope Odeyemi; Eredo LCDA Party Chairman, Hon. Mahmud Agbaraojo; esteemed members of the Wale Raji Think-Tank Committee, and party faithful, assessed the Pobo Market and a network of roads in the Odomola community.
During his tour, Rep. Raji visited Kewulere Street, Olooto Street, Babatunde Olukolu Street, Shittu Balogun Street, and Alhaji Aramide Bakare Street, where he was greeted by an enthusiastic crowd. The visit highlighted the need for improved infrastructure, especially after residents voiced their concerns about persistent flooding and poor road conditions.
“The challenges you’ve been facing with flooding and mobility will soon be a thing of the past,” Raji assured the residents. “I’ve heard your concerns, and I can confidently say that these road networks will be included in the 2025 budget as part of our constituency projects. We will not relent in ensuring this community gets the infrastructure it deserves.”
The tour concluded at Kewulere Street, where Raji acknowledged the community’s frustration and expressed his commitment to rectifying the situation. He also addressed concerns about the ongoing upgrade of Epe General Hospital into a Federal Medical Center, emphasizing the facility’s future role in delivering world-class healthcare services. “Thanks to Health Minister Tunji Alausa, this hospital will offer premium healthcare, along with health insurance schemes for all residents,” he added.
Hon. Ismail Akinloye, Chairman of Eredo LCDA, shared his excitement about the proposed reconstruction of Pobo Market, a vital economic hub for the area. “This market caters to thousands of residents, including students and business owners. Its redevelopment will boost economic activities and provide much-needed facilities for the growing population,” Akinloye remarked.
HRM Oba Adeshina Adebowale, the Omola of Odomola Kingdom, also expressed optimism following the road assessment. “Good roads are the backbone of any thriving community,” he said. “With these improvements, our people will experience easier movement, increased trade, and a better quality of life. We are grateful for this much-needed intervention.”
Residents, including elders like Alhaji Kewulere, expressed gratitude for Rep. Raji’s hands-on approach and prayed for his continued success. Market leaders at Pobo Market also celebrated the development, seeing it as a step forward for the community.
With these reassurances, Poka and Odomola’s future looks brighter, as the projects aim to enhance infrastructure and economic growth in the communities. Residents are hopeful that Rep. Raji’s promises will soon become reality.
