Rep. Wale Raji Commences Mafowosofo Road Construction in Ikosi-Ejinrin LCDA, Promises December Delivery.

Kakalistiq.com reports that the lawmaker representing Epe Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives, Rep. Wale Raji, has performed the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of Mafowosofo Road in Ikosi-Ejinrin Local Council Development Area (LCDA).

The road, which is expected to be completed by December, will connect Methodist Road with Owu and Agbowa communities, promising to improve traffic flow, reduce travel time, and enhance safety for commuters.

Akogun Wale Raji Anomo, speaking on behalf of the Ikosi-Ejinrin LCDA community, expressed gratitude to the lawmaker for prioritizing the area. “This road construction provides much-needed relief and aligns with our administration’s commitment to transforming the LCDA,” he said. Anomo also urged the lawmaker to consider implementing Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)-compliant projects, noting their critical importance for local growth.

The Chairman of Ikosi-Ejinrin LCDA highlighted the socioeconomic benefits of the new road, emphasizing how it would serve as an alternative route that enhances smooth travel, significantly reduces travel time, and supports broader SDG impacts by facilitating economic activities and improving local access.

Hon. Bashir Hassan, Senior Legislative Aide on Administration to the lawmaker, noted that the road is crucial for the advancement of Owu and Agbowa communities. “This project not only improves transportation within the community but also adds aesthetic value to the LCDA,” he stated.

Addressing the gathering, Otunba Nuru, Chairman of the Wale Raji Think-Tank Committee, underscored the importance of political leadership in driving community development. “When we say he should return, it’s because of our collective development rather than any selfish interest. A year into his renewed term, Rep. Wale Raji has facilitated this significant project, demonstrating the importance of consistent leadership,” Nuru remarked.

He urged the youth to support the ongoing construction, stressing that the lawmaker’s efforts span various aspects of community life in the LCDA. “I appeal to the youth of Owu and Agbowa to be cooperative and support the speedy completion of this critical road project,” he added.

In a letter signed by Adekunle Odubena, the Youth Acting Secretary, and Onasanya Yusuf, the Treasurer of the Agbowa-Ikosi Youth Forum, local youth praised Rep. Wale Raji for his commitment to community development, recognizing his dedication to the welfare of the constituency.

The groundbreaking ceremony was attended by notable figures including Hon. Wasiu Dehinsilu, Vice Chairman of Ikosi-Ejinrin LCDA; Otunba Yusuf Nuru, Chairman of the Wale Raji Think-Tank Committee; Otunba Wale Olusesi, Senior Legislative Aide on Works; and Engineer Taiwo, Federal Ministry of Works Supervisor. Other dignitaries present were Engineer Ilesanmi, the project contractor; Hon. Babatunde Yusuf, Supervisor for Works, Ikosi-Ejinrin LCDA; Chief Press Secretary AbdulAhmid Areh; Chief of Staff Hon. Gberefu; and the LCDA Woman Leader.

The Mafowosofo road project marks another step in Rep. Wale Raji’s ongoing efforts to enhance the infrastructure and improve the quality of life for residents of Epe Federal Constituency.
