kakalistiq.com reports that the Chairman of Ikosi-Ejinrin Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Akogun Wale Raji Anomo, has shared a moving posthumous birthday tribute to his late wife, Yeye Sijuade Akanke Anomo, whose memory continues to inspire both his personal and public life.
In an emotional message released on what would have been her birthday, Anomo reflected on the enduring pain of her absence and her unparalleled influence on his life. “Never in my life did I imagine I would be wishing you a happy birthday in your absence. Life, as I knew it, has been irreversibly altered since your departure,” he lamented.
Anomo described Yeye Sijuade as more than just his spouse. “She was my anchor, my confidant, and the soul of our family. Her warmth and compassion were unmatched, bringing joy to everyone she met,” he said. He highlighted her unwavering devotion to family, community, and shared dreams, which continue to inspire those she left behind.
To honor her legacy, the chairman announced the establishment of the Akanke Foundation, a charitable organization aimed at perpetuating her spirit of generosity and compassion. “The foundation reflects her heart,” he stated. “It supports the less privileged, provides scholarships for indigent students, and cares for the aged, widows, and cancer warriors – a cause she was deeply passionate about.”
The foundation, which has already begun impacting lives, is handling five cases, including support for cancer warriors. “One of them, a survivor, inspires us daily to fight harder. For the others, we are doing everything within our means to ensure their triumph,” he revealed.
Despite the overwhelming loss, Anomo expressed his resolve to preserve his wife’s memory. “Every corner of our home echoes with your laughter, your love, and your wisdom. Though the emptiness is profound, I find solace in honoring your values and legacy,” he pledged.
Concluding the tribute, Anomo spoke of eternal love and longing. “Happy posthumous birthday, my queen, my angel, my everything. Until the day we are reunited, I will carry your love and memory with me always,” he said.
Yeye Sijuade Akanike Anomo remains a cherished personality in the Ikosi-Ejinrin LCDA, with her legacy living on through the lives she touched and the causes she championed.
