A pro-All Progressives Congress (APC) group in Lagos State, operating under the banner of BOS4PBAT2027, on Friday took its membership drive to the streets of Lagos in a renewed push to strengthen the party’s grassroots base.
Led by the former Vice Chairman of Epe Local Government, Engr. Kenny Kadri-Edu, the group stormed major parts of the metropolis, including Ojota, Ikeja and Ketu, to sensitize residents on the ongoing APC registration exercise.
The convener described the outing as an awareness campaign for the ongoing APC membership registration exercise.
She explained that the street walk was a continuation of earlier house-to-house mobilization efforts carried out across local governments since the commencement of the exercise.
The event, which held at the Ojota Freedom Park area on Friday, February 6, was aimed at scaling up public engagement and ensuring that no eligible supporter was left out of the registration process.
According to her, the BOS4PBAT2027 Group, also known as Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu 2027 Group, decided to strategize by taking the campaign directly to the people in busy public spaces.
“We have been creating awareness in our locality before hitting the streets of Ikeja, Ojota and Ketu to educate the people on closing date of the registration exercise, requirements needed to join the party, venues to register and the benefits of joining the party,” she said.
Speaking further, she noted that the APC remains the party to beat, citing the achievements recorded under President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda and Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s THEMESPLUS development framework.
“The Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has attracted global recognition for its bold economic reforms, particularly in stabilizing Nigeria’s fiscal outlook, expanding infrastructure investment, and repositioning the country as a serious destination for foreign direct investment, while policies in energy transition, digital economy, and social welfare are being acknowledged by international development partners. In Lagos, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s THEMESPLUS Agenda has continued to deliver visible results in transportation, healthcare, education, security and housing, turning the state into a model of sub-national governance in Africa and proving that the APC is a party of performance, vision and sustainable growth worthy of greater public support.”
Engr. Kenny-Kadri used the opportunity to call on party leaders and stakeholders across Lagos State to step up mobilization efforts and ensure wider participation in the membership registration exercise for the collective growth and future success of the party.
