Osinaike highlighted the program’s significant impact during the screening exercise at Epe Girl’s High School on Monday, January 22nd, 2024, noting that it has played a crucial role in helping indigent students achieve their lifelong ambitions. He noted that the program has provided a platform for political party stalwarts to allocate slots for their respective wards and constituencies, recognizing and compensating members who have contributed significantly to the party’s cause.
“The initiative is the 11th Edition; it has helped indigent students accomplish their lifelong ambitions. It has also assisted political party stalwarts to pick slots for their various wards and constituencies, where members who sacrificed for the party are compensated,” he said.
He averred that one integral aspect of Tobun’s initiative is the meticulous screening process conducted for candidates. This, he said, ensures that individuals with the right qualifications are appropriately placed in various capacities, promoting efficiency and effectiveness in the program. He added that post-screening, JAMB classes are also organized for shortlisted students, aiming to enhance their academic performance.
To further incentivize academic excellence, he revealed that scholarships are awarded to students who exhibit outstanding performance in the JAMB examinations. He disclosed further that even those who did not participate in the JAMB tutorials received support in the form of tokens to pursue further studies, demonstrating Tobun’s unwavering commitment to inclusivity in educational empowerment.
