Education Icon, Comrade Musbau Agboola, Celebrates Glorious Retirement in Epe.

The event, held at the iconic NUT Multipurpose Hall on Sunday, January 21st, 2024, attracted prominent figures from Epe’s educational realm who paid tribute to the accomplished teacher, who also served as an elder of the Nigeria Union of Teachers (NUT), Epe Branch.

High Chief Oriyomi Ayeola, Comrade Wasiu Ayeola, and Elder Pa Balogun SA (Solu), alongside other distinguished figures in the education community, graced the occasion to honour the legacy of Comrade Musbau Agboola.

Honouring the retiree, the Epe Local Government Education Authority Education Secretary, Hon. Shittu Idowu (SAICO), extended his congratulations, acknowledging Comrade Agboola Musbaudeen Oladedele’s resourcefulness, articulation, and dedication as a school manager. He expressed hopes for a chapter filled with joy, favour, and tranquillity in the retiree’s life.

Elder Adebisi, the New Coordinator of the Epe N.U.T Elders Forum, described Comrade Agboola Musbaudeen Oladele as an elder par excellence, praising his proactivity, pragmatism, and leadership qualities. He highlighted the retiree’s diligence in managing both human and material resources, leaving a lasting legacy for others to follow.

Wishes and tributes poured in from various quarters, reflecting the impact Comrade Agboola made in his 35 years of service. Mr. Obidina Sunday, speaking on behalf of the headteachers in Epe, wished the retiree a fulfilling and rewarding retirement, emphasizing the lasting difference he made in the lives of many.

In a heartfelt tribute, Comrade Waliu Ojikutu chronicled Comrade Agboola’s 35-year journey as a committed leader of the NUT Epe Branch. He praised Agboola’s invaluable roles in stabilizing the union, fostering leadership succession, and championing the welfare of teachers. The retiree was hailed for his contributions to the development of many educators.

The overwhelmed retiree, Elder Musibau Agboola, extended his gratitude to the attendees. Elder Agboola conveyed his heartfelt thanks and blessings to all, expressing confidence that they would all end well in life.

The event, which featured a cultural display and presentation of gifts also witnessed the official pen-down ritual conducted by the Education Secretary, Hon. Shittu Idowu, witnessing the handover of Comrade Agboola’s leadership reign as Headmaster to the next in command, Mrs. Ayodele.
