Kakalistiq.com reports that with profound sorrow, Hon. Wale Raji Anomo, Chairman of the Ikosi Ejinrin Local Council Development Area (LCDA), mourned the untimely passing of Alhaja Ramota Bankole, the former Lagos APC State Welfare Secretary. Alhaja Bankole, a distinguished grassroots politician, passed away in the Holy Land of Makkah while performing the Hajj pilgrimage, leaving a legacy of dedication and service.
“With a heavy heart, I received the news of the death of Alhaja Ramotallahi Bankole,” Hon. Anomo lamented. “She was not only a dutiful wife and diligent personality but also a remarkable grassroots politician. Her dedication and commitment to her community and her family were exemplary.”
Reflecting on her life of service, Hon. Anomo remarked, “Alhaja Bankole was deeply dedicated to her work and highly committed to her people. This is indeed a very painful loss, but we take solace in the words of Almighty Allah in Quran 89 vs. 27–30: ‘To the righteous, it will be said: O peaceful and fully satisfied soul, return to your Lord. You are well-pleased (with your good end) and well-pleasing (in the sight of your Lord). Join My (righteous,) servants and enter My Paradise.’ As we believe Allah has called her over at this time, we are confident that He is most pleased with her.”
Hon. Anomo extended his heartfelt condolences on behalf of the Ikosi-Ejinrin LCDA. “I commiserate with her family members, the APC Epe Division, and APC Lagos State in general. We pray Almighty Allah gives her family the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss, forgives her shortcomings, and grants her a place among the righteous.”
The passing of Alhaja Ramota Bankole is a significant loss to the APC and the community she served with unwavering dedication. Her memory and contributions will continue to inspire and guide those who follow in her footsteps.
