Princess Surah’s Generosity Lights Up Epe as Residents Shower Praises and Prayers

In a remarkable display of commitment to the welfare and well-being of her people, reports that Hon. (Princess) Surah Olayemi Animashaun, the Executive Chairman of Epe Local Government, made a resounding statement during a food distribution event held in Epe on Tuesday, March 19, 2024. The event, aimed at alleviating the hardships faced by residents, particularly during the Lent and Ramadan periods, saw an outpouring of gratitude and appreciation from beneficiaries across various segments of the community.

At the food distribution event, which attracted beneficiaries from various walks of life, including Corps members, LAWMA sweepers, transporters, farmers, women groups, and others, no discrimination was observed as everyone received essential food items such as rice, beans, yam, and Indomie noodles.

Beneficiaries, including pregnant women, people living with disabilities, nursing mothers, and the elderly, expressed their heartfelt appreciation for Princess Surah and her administration’s thoughtful gesture. They commended her leadership and prayed for the success of her administration, with some expressing hopes for her continued service to Epe for a second term.

Speaking passionately to the press, Hon. Animashaun reiterated her administration’s dedication to caring for all residents of Epe, emphasizing that such initiatives are a fundamental responsibility of leadership. She highlighted the substantial investments made by her administration in providing palliatives, medical support, and employment opportunities for youths, all aimed at enhancing the quality of life for Epe residents.

“It is my responsibility to ensure the well-being of all residents of Epe, and today’s distribution of food items is just one aspect of fulfilling that duty,” stated Hon. Animashaun. “We have consistently provided palliatives, medical assistance, and employment opportunities to our people, and we will continue to do so as long as we are in office.”

The chairman noted that her administration has prioritized key sectors such as security, health, education, environment, and infrastructure, demonstrating a comprehensive approach to governance that addresses the diverse needs of the community.

In her closing remarks, Princess Surah extended warm wishes to Christians and Muslims observing Lent and Ramadan, urging them to stay away from sinful acts and embrace the spirit of prayer and fasting. She called for continued support and prayers for the administrations of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Mr. Babajide Olushola Sanwoolu, and Dr. Kadri Obafemi Hamzat, assuring residents of better days ahead.
