The unexpected but delightful moment occurred during the distribution ceremony, showcasing the real impact and significance of programs like “Nutri Mama” in uplifting and supporting mothers during pregnancy and early motherhood.

Speaking on the significance of the program and its numerous benefits to households in the LCDA, Chairperson Ramat Bola Kasali emphasized the importance of going the extra mile to cater to the needs of expectant and nursing mothers. She stated, “Organizing the ‘Nutri Mama’ program is not just about distributing welfare packages; it’s about ensuring the well-being and safety of our mothers and their children. Every mother deserves access to quality healthcare, nutritious food, and essential supplies, especially during such challenging times.”

Chairperson Kasali highlighted the holistic approach of the program, which not only provides tangible support like food items, baby essentials, and healthcare products but also focuses on educating and empowering mothers. “We are not just giving out packages; we are providing education on child care, antenatal care, and immunization because the health and development of our children are paramount,” she added.

The “Nutri Mama” package, distributed to registered beneficiaries armed with their antenatal or immunization cards for access, includes staple food items such as rice, beans, garri, Semovita, and Indomie, along with baby care essentials like Nutribon, Pampers, and tissue papers.

The Chairperson, on behalf of the beneficiaries, expressed gratitude to Engr.
