kakalistiq.com reports that Rep. Wale Raji has reaffirmed his commitment to the people through a series of groundbreaking ceremonies for critical projects, including the construction of schools and a market in a landmark development for the Epe Federal Constituency. The events, held on Monday, December 2nd, 2024, across Temu, Pobuna, Ilege, and Odo-Egiri, mark the beginning of transformative initiatives that promise to reshape the social and economic landscape of the constituency.
The ceremonies began in Temu, where a new 12-classroom, storey building is set to rise, replacing an outdated facility and addressing the community’s educational needs. Representing Rep. Wale Raji, Otunba Nuru, Chairman of the Wale Raji Think-Tank Committee, described the initiative as a fulfilment of the lawmaker’s promise. “This project exemplifies the visionary leadership of Hon. Wale Raji,” he stated. “It’s not just about fulfilling promises but ensuring sustainable development.”
Ikosi-Ejinrin LCDA Chairman, Otunba Wale Raji Anomo, lauded the lawmaker’s efforts, describing him as “a leader with a legacy of impactful projects.” Anomo noted, “Rep. Raji has shifted the focus of democratic representation from rhetoric to results, building a brighter future for our youth.”
The train of progress then moved to Pobuna Secondary Grammar School, where the Senior School Principal, Mr. Aboderin alongside the National President of the School’s Alumni, Mr Dapo Komolafe, warmly received the team. Political leaders, including Hon. Ayo Odeyemi (WASTAB), Mrs. Stella Odudolapo and Eredo LCDA Vice-Chairman Hon. Lateef Adesanya, joined in celebrating the occasion.
Hon. Odeyemi highlighted the significance of the event, stating, “This groundbreaking isn’t just about a new block of classrooms; it symbolizes the lawmaker’s responsiveness to the community’s pressing needs.” Mrs. Stella Odudolapo, another community leader, recalled how the dire state of existing facilities prompted urgent feedback to the lawmaker. “It felt like magic when we saw such a swift response. This is what effective representation looks like,” she remarked.
The Vice-Chairman echoed these sentiments, attributing the development to Rep. Raji’s strategic leadership. “We must elect leaders with purposeful vision, as we see here. This project is another milestone in his journey of empowering our people,” Adesanya declared.
At Odo-Egiri, the Aladepekun of Odo-Egiri Kingdom, HRM Oba Musiliu Abiola Oliwu, expressed his gratitude for the construction of 48 semi-lock-up shops. “This market will enhance our economic potential and provide stability for traders who’ve endured difficult conditions,” the monarch said. Community leaders such as Hon. Ayo Odeyemi (WASTAB) and traders also called for additional investments, particularly in road infrastructure, to further unlock the market’s potential.
The final stop was Ilege, Ward D1, Epe LG, where plans for a 6-classroom block were unveiled. Baale S. Amodu Ejalonibu, the community’s traditional head, reflected on years of advocacy for secondary education. “This project is a dream come true,” he said. “It will serve students from over six neighbouring communities, ending the hardship of travelling long distances for education.”
Mrs Adenugba M.A., Headteacher of LG Primary School Ilege, added, “This development will uplift the standard of education and inspire hope for generations to come.”
The day’s events underscore Rep. Wale Raji’s dedication to fostering development and addressing the core needs of his constituents. As the projects take shape, the constituents of the Epe Federal Constituency are poised to reap the benefits of visionary and people-centred leadership.
