LASUBEB Chairman, Hakeem Shittu Applauds Wale Raji’s Teamwork in Delivering New Epe Classrooms.

Education Gets Major Lift Through Cross-Government Collaboration.

kakalistiq.com reports that Lagos State’s education sector received fresh momentum yesterday as newly constructed classroom blocks were handed over at Anglican Primary School, Ebute Afuye, Epe, a project that’s become a shining example of what happens when government arms work together.

The real story behind the gleaming new facility is a laudable partnership between federal and state authorities that has the LASUBEB Chairman, Dr. Hakeem Shittu, singing praises. Though represented at the April 24 ceremony by Board Member Hon. Babatunde Jimoh, Dr. Shittu’s message came through loud and clear: this is how development should work.

Rep. Wale Raji (MHR)

“Education remains the bedrock of societal development. These new classrooms will not only reduce overcrowding but also provide a more conducive learning space for our children in Epe. This project underscores our collective commitment to improving access and quality in basic education. On behalf of Dr. Shittu and the entire Board, we express our appreciation for this impactful initiative,” he said.

The project’s facilitator, Rep. Wale Raji (Epe Federal Constituency), demonstrated his now-trademark collaborative approach during the handover. “Education isn’t about who gets credit,” he told attendees, standing in the shade of the new buildings. “It’s about creating spaces where young minds can flourish. When LASUBEB’s technical team advised us on design specifications, we listened.”

Local leaders, including the Oloja of Epe Land, HRM Oba Kamorudeen Animashaun; Lagos Governance Advisory Council Member, Alhaji Akanni Serkiki Bamu; High Chief Kadri Odedeogboro, who represented the Olu-Epe of Epe; Epe LG Chairman Princess Surah Animashaun and several others, witnessed the culmination of this remarkable partnership – one that saw federal funds channelled through state expertise to address a community need.

With space for hundreds of pupils, the classrooms represent more than bricks and mortar. They’re proof that when officials prioritize teamwork, Lagos’ children ultimately win. As Dr. Shittu noted in his remarks, “This is the model we hope to replicate across all constituencies.”
