Summer of Impact: Lekki LCDA Wraps Up Strategic Coaching Programme with Certification for Pupils.

The sun may have set on the long summer break, but for dozens of eager young minds in the Lekki Local Council Development Area (LCDA), the season ended not just with memories but with milestones.

Under the visionary leadership of Engr. Rasaki Bamidele Kasali (MNSE, MNATE), Executive Chairman of Lekki LCDA, a free strategic summer coaching programme was successfully organized for primary school pupils in the community. Beyond revising core subjects, the initiative gave children a boost of confidence as they prepared to return to school.

What made this programme stand out wasn’t just its academic focus but its uncommon reward of recognition. At a warm closing ceremony, certificates of participation were handed out to every child, applauding their dedication and symbolizing the value of education, effort, and consistency, even outside the regular school term.

“This is not just a coaching class, it is a platform for transformation,” said Engr. Kasali. “We are not only teaching children; we are telling them they matter, even in the quiet months of summer.”

Central to the success of the programme was the unwavering support of Yeshua’s Arm, a passionate NGO devoted to supporting children and families through education and child protection. The Executive Chairman, visibly proud, extended deep gratitude to the organisation for being a “long-standing and indefatigable partner” in community growth and child development.

Speaking further, Engr. Kasali lent his voice on the Essence of the Partnership and Certification:
“Our partnership with Yeshua’s Arm is a clear example of how community, compassion, and commitment can come together to shape the future. Through their support, we are not just filling academic gaps, we are building bridges of hope. By issuing certificates, we’re sending a message to these young ones that their efforts matter and their learning journey is seen. It’s a rare gesture in summer coaching, but one we believe can inspire a culture of excellence and self-worth in every child.”

As children clutched their certificates with smiles and pride, parents and guardians applauded not only the organisers but the belief behind the programme: that education is a year-round responsibility, and that recognition fuels resilience.

With leaders like Engr. Kasali and partners like Yeshua’s Arm, Lekki LCDA is proving that investing in children is more than a duty, it’s a legacy in motion.
