Osun State High Court has found the famous hotel owner, Dr Ramon Adedoyin guilty in the murder case of Timothy Adegoke, a former Masters’ student of the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, whose death occurred between November 5 and 7, 2021 at Hilton Honours Hotel, Ile-Ife.
While rendering her ruling in the case, the Osun Chief Judge, Adepele Ojo, stated that the circumstantial evidence indicated that Adegoke was killed while a guest at the hotel owned by Adedoyin.
She claimed that since the weight of proof had been placed on him by the circumstantial evidence, Adedoyin’s decision to stay out of the witness box had not helped him.
Justice Ojo also dismissed the alibi offered on behalf of Adedoyin by his attorney, who claimed that the hotel owner was in Abuja for a number of days around the time the late Adegoke died, saying that Adedoyin’s decision not to enter the witness box meant he agreed to the murder charge brought against him by the prosecution.
