A New Dawn for Education: Ikosi-Ejinrin LCDA Chairman Inaugurates State-of-the-Art Classroom Block at LG Primary School, Otta-Ikosi.

In a momentous event that brought together the Otta-Ikosi community and its environs, Kakalistiq.com reports that Akogun Wale Raji Anomo, the Executive Chairman of the Ikosi-Ejinrin Local Council Development Area, unveiled a block of three classrooms at LG Primary School, Otta-Ikosi, on Wednesday, January 31, 2024.

The ceremony, attended by dignitaries from various sectors, marked a significant stride in fulfilling the chairman’s commitment to prioritize education within the LCDA. Notable personalities present included traditional rulers such as HRM Oba Elias Omoloro Adedapo (IJELU 1), the Olota of Otta-Ikosi, and community leaders who graced the occasion to witness the positive transformation of the local education landscape.

The newly inaugurated classrooms were not merely bricks and mortar but a symbol of the LCDA’s unwavering dedication to building a brighter future for Ikosi-Ejinrin. The Chairman emphasized that education is a cornerstone for community development, and the LCDA is resolute in providing an environment where every child can thrive.

Among the distinguished guests were HRM Oba Rafiu Ishola Balogun, the Elejinrin of Ejinrin; HRM Oba (Bldr.) Asunmo Ganiyu Aderibigbe, the Alayandelu of Odo-Ayandelu; HRM Oba Saheed Owolabi Momson, the Abowa of Agbowa-Ikosi; HRM Oba Nelson Obayomi Ogunlari, the Olowu of Owu-Ikosi; Former Chairman Ikosi-Ejinrin LCDA, Hon. Ganiyu Adetola; APC Chairman Ikosi-Ejinrin LCDA, Hon. Wittu-Ajenifuja, and many others.

In his address, Akogun Wale Anomo recounted the various initiatives undertaken by his administration in the education sector, ranging from the Ikosi-Ejinrin School Bus Shuttle to the distribution of complete school packs, investment in teaching aids, the distribution of brush-cutters, and the celebration of academic excellence. He expressed gratitude to stakeholders for their unwavering support and commended his team for their dedication to community development.

Special Guest of Honor, Dr. Hakeem Babatunde Shittu, Chairman of Lagos State Universal Basic Education Board (LASUBEB), lauded the Chairman for complementing the state government’s efforts in standardizing education. He emphasized the collective responsibility of ensuring a solid foundation in basic education and encouraged beneficiaries to maximize the facility.

The traditional ruler, HRM Oba Elias Omoloro Adedapo IJELU, commended the Chairman for delivering on his promises, investing in the community’s future, and changing the narratives for good in Ikosi-Ejinrin. The APC Chairman, Ikosi-Ejinrin LCDA, Hon. Wittu-Ajenifuja, praised the Chairman for making the party proud and urged him to continue on the path of impactful leadership.

Education Secretary Epe LGEA, Otunba Shittu Aliu Idowu (SAICO), Head Teacher of LG Primary School Otta-Ikosi, and other stakeholders echoed their appreciation for the Chairman’s heavy investment in education, affirming that the inauguration marked a new dawn for education in Ikosi-Ejinrin LCDA.
