In a heartfelt gesture of generosity and compassion, kakalistiq.com reports that Miss Ibitayo Subair, CEO of IBIS Realty Limited, marked her birthday by giving back to society, urging individuals not to neglect the welfare of the elderly.

Speaking at the Thani Oladunjoye Old People Center in Epe, where she donated essential medication, Subair emphasized the importance of supporting senior citizens, particularly in matters of health.
“It’s actually because I have elders at home as well, and I understand the struggles of when they become old, especially with their health. I want to spend this birthday with the old people at Thani Oladunjoye Old People Center. This is the best place to celebrate a birthday with the people of Epe,” she expressed during an interview.
Overwhelmed with gratitude, she also extended appreciation to Mr Tunde Thani, the Founder of the centre, for his selfless dedication to the elderly. She encouraged others to contribute to the initiative, stressing the importance of supporting vulnerable members of society.
“This is amazing, and so I want to encourage everyone out there that this is a place you have to put your money, trust me. There’s no joy in doing all the life out there when we have people that we’re supposed to support. If you can, no matter how little, this is a place where you should come in to support the old people,” she urged.
Reacting to the donation, Mr. Tunde Thani commended Subair’s gesture and noted how impactful such acts of kindness are. He recalled a similar occasion when Hon. Abiodun Tobun celebrated his 60th birthday with the elderly at the centre.

“It’s so amazing that somebody thinks it’s worthwhile, instead of having big parties out there, to come and make donations to the elderly ones. Dancing and cutting the cake with them is amazing. You can see the joy, the renewed vigour in the faces of the elderly ones,” he remarked, emphasizing how these engagements provide therapeutic benefits for the aged.
Reflecting on the facility’s three years of success, Mr Thani attributed it to divine grace and the generosity of donors. He acknowledged the need for continuous support, highlighting the high cost of running the centre, which includes consultations, staff salaries, free medications, and specialist care.
“Tired? Capital No. It’s not my initiative. I’m not the one running, I’m not the one providing. It’s the Almighty God. If it were to be mine, I would have been tired,” he affirmed.
He further disclosed that the latest medication donation, valued at two million Naira, was sourced directly from manufacturers, ensuring quality healthcare for the elderly. He expressed gratitude that no fatalities had been recorded at the centre, and eye surgeries conducted had yielded positive outcomes.
Addressing the donors earlier, Mr Thani provided insights into the centre’s operations, detailing its weekly activities. He shared that general clinics are held on Tuesdays and Thursdays, optometry services on Wednesdays, and physiotherapy sessions on Fridays, along with social activities to keep the elderly engaged.

Subair’s mother, visibly moved by the occasion, extended heartfelt gratitude to the centre’s founder, recalling how 16 years had passed since her husband’s demise. She praised her daughter’s efforts in honouring his memory through such meaningful philanthropy.
With prayers and appreciation from the elderly beneficiaries, Mrs. Ibitayo Subair’s birthday celebration was more than just an occasion – it was a profound testament to the power of giving back and uplifting the senior citizens of Nigeria.
